Substation operator positioning is a technical application that utilizes various techniques to achieve real-time monitoring and tracking of the location of operators within the substation, in order to improve operational safety and management efficiency. Here is a specific introduction:
Main technical means
UWB ultra wideband positioning technology: By deploying UWB base stations in substations, operators wear UWB tags, and transmit data using nanosecond to microsecond level non sinusoidal narrow pulses, it has the characteristics of high accuracy, anti-interference, and large system capacity. It can achieve millimeter level positioning accuracy and is suitable for complex indoor and outdoor environments.
GPS positioning technology: using satellite positioning systems to determine the location of personnel, suitable for outdoor open areas of substations. The positioning accuracy is generally between a few meters and ten meters, but the effect is not good indoors or in areas with severe satellite signal obstruction.
Beidou positioning technology: Similar to GPS, China's independently developed Beidou positioning system can also be used for personnel positioning in substations, with high positioning accuracy and reliability, and has certain advantages in domestic applications.
RFID positioning technology: Based on radio frequency identification technology, RFID tags or readers are installed on personnel or work areas for positioning. The positioning accuracy is relatively low, but the cost is low and easy to deploy, making it suitable for scenarios that do not require high positioning accuracy.
System composition
Positioning terminal: a device worn by operators, such as UWB tags, GPS locators, etc., responsible for receiving and transmitting location signals.
Base station: used to receive signals sent by positioning terminals and transmit data to servers, which can be divided into UWB base stations, GPS reference stations, etc.
Server: Receive and process location data transmitted by base stations, store, analyze, and manage the data.
System application software: runs on computers or mobile devices in the monitoring center, realizing functions such as personnel location display, alarm management, trajectory query, etc.
Functional Features
Real time location monitoring: Real time display of the location of workers on the map in the monitoring center, allowing management personnel to intuitively understand the distribution of personnel.
Electronic fence setting: Electronic fences can be set up according to the safety zone division of the substation to alert against violations such as intrusion, approach, and overtime operations.
Trajectory query and playback: Record the movement trajectory of workers, facilitate management personnel to query and playback historical trajectories, and understand the process of personnel operations.
SOS one click alarm: When the operator encounters an emergency situation, they can actively alarm through the SOS button on the positioning terminal, and the management personnel can quickly locate the location of the alarm personnel and take emergency measures.
Work collaboration and scheduling: Management personnel allocate and schedule tasks based on personnel location information to improve work collaboration efficiency, avoid conflicts and duplicate work.
Safety management and risk warning: Real time monitoring of hazardous areas, issuing warnings when personnel approach hazardous areas to prevent safety accidents.
Application Cases
Substation personnel positioning system: using RTK+UWB fusion positioning method, outdoor horizontal positioning accuracy of 3 centimeters, vertical positioning accuracy of 5 centimeters, indoor positioning accuracy of 10-30 centimeters, easy to install without wiring base station.
High precision positioning solution: covering the main control communication building, main transformer room and other areas of the substation, realizing functions such as three-dimensional management of high-altitude operators, grounding wire hanging and removal determination.
Substation inspection personnel positioning management plan: using UWB technology and high-precision positioning system to achieve functions such as location tracking, operation behavior management, and dangerous area alarm for inspection personnel.
